Tuesday, January 31, 2012 The Elizabeth Avenue Fire Company regrets to announce the passing of Ex-Chief and Life member Jan Szwarc. Jan held numerous positions in our fire company during his 45 years of service. Rest in Peace Brother.
Thursday, January 26, 2012 Station 26 responded to Franklin District 3 for the 2nd alarm structure fire. Ladder 26, Car 26 and Car 26 B responded. Ladder 26 was assigned 2nd due truck duties and assisted with laddering the building.
Wednesday, January 25, 2012 Ladder 26 responded into Middlesex boro for a RIT assignment at a commercial building fire.
Friday, January 20, 2012 Station 26 members successfully graduated from the Somerset County Emergency Services Academy. Three members completed their Firefighter 1 training certifying as New Jersey firefighters. Congratulations to probationary firefighters Jared Gaines, Rodney Shank and Jessica Rau.

Billy and his family are very active in our fire company, his Dad is an ex-chief and Billy held the rank of Lieutenant until he began the NYPD academy. NYPD's gain is our loss. Stay safe brother!
Wednesday, December 14, 2011 The Santa Run is coming to our first due......The date for our annual Santa Run has been announced. We will be bringing Santa Claus around on his sleigh on Saturday December 17th. **Please note that these times are an estimate, and are not guaranteed.** Saturday December 17th: 1:00PM-2:30PM - Worlds Fair Development (Angel Pl., Crown Rd., etc.) 3:00PM-4:00PM - Garfield Ave. Area. 4:30PM-8:00PM - Somerset Hills Area (Marcy St., Thomas Rd., Nassau Ave., etc.)

Saturday, October 22, 2011 Station 26 participated in the quarterly District 1 live burn drill at the Piscataway burn tower.
Wednesday, October 19, 2011 Station 26 responded with D1 companies for a report of a ventilation fan on fire in the bathroom. On arrival Car 26-B (DC Fredericks) reported heavy smoke and upgraded the response to a working fire. 26-3 with the assistance of Franklin Fire Prevention (908) contained the fire to the bathroom and adjoining attic area.
