At their 2009 awards banquest held at the Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, the New Jersey Fire Prevention and Protection Association named President Chris Weniger the 2009 recipient of the John H. Flaherty Fire Prevention Inspector of the year.  The group noted Chris's work as the Hillsborough Township Chief Fire Marshal, his involvement with the state fire code advisory council and his innovative fire prevention programs, including the annual Hillsborough Junior Fire Academy.  Station 26 Officers and members were on hand to congratulate Chris and recognize his achievement.
